Chris bid on a job in Kicking Horse, B.C. It is about 3 hours from Calgary and he had to go up to site measure. The people he is doing work for said he could stay in their chalet so I thought that I would go up too. Mom and Dad watched the girls for the weekend (thank-you Mom and Dad!!), so we could have a weekend away for my birthday. The chalet was right on the ski hill and absolutely amazing, it was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. While Chris worked, I chilled out in this amazing place with gorgeous views of the mountains and read a magazine, did my nails, relaxed, you know, all the things you can't do at home with two kids! I had the best weekend, what a great way to spend my birthday! The only downside was I got food-poisoning from my meal on Saturday night but at least I waiting until we were home last night to get really sick!

The view was breath-taking! There was so much snow but still it was about 10 degrees warmer than Calgary!
We went into Golden, B.C. which is the town at the base of the Mountain, not much there :)
This is the day we were leaving, this is the chalet's patio leading to the "backyard". It was sunny and nice when we left and then we came home to more miserable weather and a ton of snow. Why can't spring just come already!!
It is a beautiful drive through the mountains to get there. And the drive seemed really quick with no-one fighting in the backseat :)
